Saint-Aubin has a special place in the world of Burgundy whites. Renowned for their refinement, its Chardonnays are found on the finest tables. But compared to its cousins Chassagne, Puligny and Meursault, this Côte de Beaune village stands out for its discretion.

An enchanting setting for the new restaurant at Château de Saint-Aubin: Prosper

Located in the city-center, the Château de Saint-Aubin overlooks the village. The Piffaut Family bought the monument in 2015 and carried out numerous works to make this place the new Prosper Maufoux wine house.

The Château de Saint-Aubin, a building that offers the sort of intimate, rural luxury that the French do so well. By the time I leave, Pascale seems more like a friend putting me up for the weekend — albeit in luxury.

On the estate run by the Maison Prosper Maufoux , whose vat room and cellars lie under the Chateau de Saint-Aubin, our teams have been working all out for most of the week of April 5.

Hundreds of candles and burners were lit in vineyards on the Côte de Beaune in Burgundy.
