Art In Situ at the Château de Saint-Aubin

Wednesday, September 27, 2023

Art In Situ is an innovative concept combining contemporary art and the exceptional wine-growing heritage of Burgundy's Route des Grands Crus. Visitors wishing to enjoy a tasting at one of the partner estates will also be able to admire the works of selected artists.

Art In Situ is an association that builds bridges between contemporary art and the exceptional wine-growing heritage of Burgundy's Route des Grands Crus. The idea behind the concept is to bring together people, art and wine.

To achieve this, the association has created an artistic itinerary along the road, which winds its way through some of the most prestigious vineyards in the Côte d'Or.

Visitors can discover the works of art right in the heart of the wineries. For one year, the partner estates host several works of art, according to their choice and the atmosphere they wish to create.

Maison Prosper Maufoux, whose estate epicenter is located at Château de Saint-Aubin, has been a patron of Art in Situ since the 2022/2023 edition. Numerous artists' works are on permanent display for an entire year.

Until the end of 2023, at Château de Saint-Aubin, you can enjoy fine Burgundy wines from our Maison Prosper Maufoux while admiring contemporary works by artists such as Philippe Delenseigne (French sculptor), Damien Deroubaix (painting, engraving, sculpture...), and Rainer Gross (sculptor).
